The short film "Sychophant" was created by the Dionysus Productions team.
Christian Hartsock: Director
Christian Hartsock wrote and directed Sycophant as his graduation senior thesis film upon his final year at Brooks Institute. He has since produced the feature The Lives of Better Men, wrote and directed the hit viral music video Victicrat, and directed, written, edited, or produced several other music videos including a Guns ‘N Roses visualizer, investigative videos with journalists James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles, and a handful of other film, music and television projects currently in development and production.
Born October 1986 in Oakland, California, Hartsock founded his company Dionysus Productions, and currently resides and works in Burbank as an independent contractor with various clients, production companies and individual film and video projects. Victor Shklyar: Editor/Designer
My name is Victor Shklyar. I put together this site with help from Christian. Christian and I met during our time at Brooks Institute. We have collaborated many times since then under Dionysus Productions. I am a video editor with a few notable projects under my belt. I was born on December 27th 1985, under the cold curtain of communist Russia. In 1994 my family was granted permission to leave St. Petersburg to escape religious persecution. I consider San Jose, California to be my home town and that is where I currently reside. I'm pursuing my video editing career here, creating videos and designing graphics for technology companies in the heart of the Silicon Valley.
